The MCA is hereby publishing the latest available data on the telecommunications and postal sectors in Malta.
The purpose of this publication is to inform the general public on the main trends and developments in Malta concerning electronic communications and post.
The report sheet lists a number of indicators for the aforementioned areas, with data presented on a quarterly basis. A separate worksheet with annual data is also included.
Readers are informed that data on mobile telephony subscriptions and Pay TV for Q1 2017 has been revised. This is in line with updated submissions from local service providers. Data on ARPU and penetration rates for the two sectors has also been updated accordingly.
It is also noted that, as of Q1 2017, no data is available for SIS Ltd. and VFC Mobile. This is because SIS ceased operations in Q1 2017 and VFC has not reported any activity during this quarter.
Postal data for Q1 2017 has also been revised following new data submitted from local operators.
