Response to Consultation: Review of the Radio Links Licensing Regime

The Authority would like to inform operators and the general public, that Government has revised the current fee structure as established under the Fees (Radiocommunications) Regulations (SL35.01).

The new fee structure aims to:

• establish a common fee for all radio-relay links operating above 1GHz, including links used for services ancillary to broadcasting; and
• incentivise frequency re-use.

This is the result of a consultation document that was published in September 2009 to review the licensing regime for radio links operating above 1 GHz.

This document contains all the responses received in this regard.
