The eCommerce Training Programme

The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) launched the eBiznify eLearning Platform project in 2018, part-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund – European Structural and Investment Funds 2014-2020.

eBiznify Certified was designed to empower individuals and businesses with the skills necessary to navigate eCommerce effectively, enhancing their capabilities in eCommerce-related services. What set eBiznify apart was its accreditation by MFHEA (formerly NCFHE) and its delivery through a dedicated eLearning platform, enabling participants to study at their own pace and convenience, from the comfort of their homes. This flexibility proved invaluable for individuals managing busy schedules.

Participants could access various modules supported by online tutorials and peer discussions. They also benefited from resources such as an online library and interviews with local industry leaders, sharing insights and best practices. Upon successful completion, participants received an MQF Level 4 certificate in eCommerce Practices.

During the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, eBiznify emerged as a crucial resource for businesses seeking to upskill while facing restrictions on on-site training. The partnership between MCA and the eSkills Malta Foundation (eSkills) facilitated multiple eBiznify Certified intakes and introduced eBiznify Lite, a self-paced learning program offering flexibility by eliminating tutorials, assignments, and deadlines. Participants received a certificate of completion detailing the modules and hours dedicated to each (eBiznify Lite). The collaboration between MCA and eSkills provided ongoing support to micro and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) in navigating digital commerce, especially as businesses grappled with adapting to new market realities.

Notably, all eBiznify courses were offered free of charge, and throughout the project's duration, around 200 participants accessed the training programs.
