EMF Monitoring Programme – Predefined EMF Audits
The MCA performs regular audits on the Electromagnetic Field (EMF) at pre-demarcated locations spread across Malta and Gozo. The aim of such audits is to ensure that EMF emissions present at the respective audit site does not exceed the EMF levels applicable in Malta as determined by the relevant competent authorities. These levels refer to those of ICNIRP, the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection.

Open Data - Predefined EMF Audits
Data pertaining to the Predefined EMF Audits is being made available for download as open data.
The data set TEQS_Predefined_EMF_Audits_Open_Data contains the Total Exposure Quotient (Power) as measured in % of ICNIRP Limit for the Predefined Audit Locations during the reporting period in question. The file contains the following column information:
- Audit Site ID: The unique identifier for the Predefined EMF Audit Location
- Street: The street name for the Predefined EMF Audit Location
- Locality: The locality for the Predefined EMF Audit Location
- Latitude: The latitude co-ordinate (WGS 84) for the Predefined EMF Audit Location
- Latitude Direction: The latitude direction
- Longitude: The longitude co-ordinate (WGS-84) for the Predefined EMF Audit Location
- Longitude Direction: The longitude direction
- % of ICNIRP Limit: Total Exposure Quotient as measured in % of ICNIRP Limit for the Predefined EMF Audit Location
- Quarter: The quarter for the respective year when the EMF audit was recorded
- Year: The year when the EMF audit was recorded

The data set Audit_Sites_Fixed_Point_EMF-Audits contains the location details for all of the Predefined EMF Audit Locations. The file contains the following column information:
