Review of QoS to be achieved by MaltaPost for the Universal Postal Service

The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) as the regulator for the Postal Sector in Malta has today published its Decision concerning the Quality of Service (QoS) targets to be achieved by MaltaPost Plc. In October 2023, the MCA published a consultation document entitled “Review of Quality of Service to be achieved by MaltaPost for the Universal Postal Service”. The MCA is now publishing its final Decision. Through this Decision the MCA has reviewed the current QoS standards which have been in effect since October 2016. The revised QoS standards aim to ensure a satisfactory level of service for users while promoting the financial sustainability of the universal postal service. The revised QoS standards are effective as from 1st October 2023. The QoS standards set out in this Decision will remain applicable unless any emerging developments necessitate a re-assessment.
