Final decision further to GO's failure to notify the MCA about changes to the terms and conditions of subscriber contracts
The MCA issued a decision following GO plc’s failure to notify the MCA with various ‘notification letters’ sent to its subscribers informing them about changes to their terms and conditions.
Service providers are required to notify the Authority in writing, prior to notification to subscribers, of any proposed modifications to the contractual terms and conditions of service.
The MCA’s investigations have determined that GO acted contrary to these requirements and as a result the MCA imposed an administrative fine of one thousand euros (€1,000) in accordance with its powers at law.
