The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) as the main authority responsible for enforcing the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2015/2120 (the ‘EU Regulation’), has prepared this report in compliance with the annual reporting obligations as specified in the EU Regulation. This report takes into consideration the MCA’s work with regards to the supervision and monitoring concerning open internet access rules as reflected in the EU Regulation, which rules came into force on 30th April 2016. This report covers the period between 1st May 2017 and 30th April 2018.

In line with Decision (EU) 2017/899, the MCA is publishing the National Roadmap for the UHF band between 470 – 790 MHz. This roadmap lays down the foundation to ensure that Malta is well positioned to adopt and benefit from future wireless technologies while sustaining competitiveness in the rapidly changing digital world.
