Request for Proposals: Concession for the Use of Malta's Allotted Satellite Slots and Associated Radio Frequencies

The Malta Communications Authority (MCA), the national electronic communications regulatory authority in Malta, has announced the Government of Malta’s intention to make its ITU-allotted satellite slots available through an international competitive process.  These slots are at 22.8 degrees East for Broadcast Satellite Services (BSS) and at 3 degrees West for Fixed Satellite Services (FSS).  The two slots can be applied for separately.

The MCA invites interested parties to submit proposals by the 16 February 2015, 14:00 hrs. CET.

The MCA will consider information on investment capital, business model, market coverage, use of latest technologies, commercial terms and conditions, timelines for operation, and economic offers in order to select the most qualified proponent/s for the licensing of these satellite resources.
