Electronic Communications

The MCA is the authority responsible for the authorisation for electronic communications networks and services, the radio spectrum and radiocommunications equipment. The forms for the various types of authorisations managed by the MCA are accessible through the tabs on the left hand side of the page.

Authorisation of Services:

  • Notification form and Information on the general authorisation to provide electronic communications networks and/or services
  • Register of authorised undertakings providing electronic communications networks and services

The Spectrum Licensing:

  • Application forms for the grant for the rights of use of radio spectrum
  • Grants of rights of use of radio spectrum capable of providing electronic communications services

Radiocommunications Equipment Licensing:

  • Application forms for the grant of rights to install or use radiocommunications equipment (e.g. aeronautical, amateur radio, private mobile radios, radio links, satellite uplink, etc.)
  • Notification forms for the installation or use of certain radiocommunications equipment covered by a general authorisation (e.g. VHF marine, EPIRBs, etc.)
