On the 4th of March 2013, the Malta Communications Authority granted a new licence to MaltaPost Plc. The new licence replaces the current licence that MaltaPost plc has as provided for in the Schedule to the MaltaPost Plc Licence (Modification) Regulations. The latter licence comes to a close on the 30th of April 2013. The new licence issued to MaltaPost Plc comes into effect as of the 1st May 2013 and authorises MaltaPost Plc to provide all postal services within the scope of the universal service as well as outside the scope of the Universal Service.
